What can I say… Glastonbury, you are a festival of dreams.
Those of you who enjoy the odd festival, but have never decided to set foot in the heart of Worthy Farm, please take my advice and make the life changing decision to try and get a ticket for next year.
Glastonbury is by far the most amazing, beautiful, massive and magical festival I’ve ever been to and offers something to everyone of every age and personality. I cannot deny that you may end up smelling as bad as the toilets and crying for days after, but believe me I would not change a second of it.
A few of the artists I was lucky enough to experience at the festival included the legendary:
Dolly Parton, Ed Sheeran, Blondie, The Kooks, Kodaline, John Newman…. (the list goes on but I am getting emotional typing these out.)
Dolly Parton – what an incredible woman and songwriter, her funny stories and character lifted me out of my raging hangover…
Kodaline – Although not everyone loves them… they are soooo talented…. AND IRISH! (Was pretty in love with them)
Ed Sheeran – Way too emotional the whole way through his set… Literally can’t fault him live
One of my favourite places of the whole experience has got to be Shangri-hell. Trooping through every night until 7am did not seem a struggle in this place… the place was buzzing.
I’ve been to Glastonbury twice now, this year and last year and still have not experienced half of everything I want to see… so many fields, so much fun to be had… I still haven’t had a massage from the healing fields or eaten a vegan breakfast…. But there’s always next year.
So anyone who hasn’t been yet, set yourself up on a million laptops and make sure you get yourself a ticket this year… because you’ll have the most fun you’ll ever had, make the best friends in the world, and all you’ll be thinking about after is how you are going to get a ticket for the next one.
I LOVE YOU GLASTONBURY YOU ABSOLUTE DREAMER
