Guess whose back, back again!

After finishing Uni (yay!) I took a little break from blogging, but I miss it so I’m getting things going again with my site. 🙂

I’ve started working at a Food-based supplement company as a marketing assistant, which I really enjoy as I love all the wellness, holistic stuff and I get to write about it every day – so that is ace.

I thought I’d just do a quick lust-list as I’m currently saving to go traveling so I am not allowed to be spending but as always, there’s a million things that I’d like to purchase!! Think of it as a haul… but of the imagination. Mainly following a traveling theme… You can see where my head is at right now I’m sure!!!

  1. I am loving these bikinis from River Island. Being not-so-blessed in the chest area, the neckline on the first is a complete winner and I love the design. Only thing is… tan lines. Hmmm, they’d be interesting! The second one I also love – colour is gorgeous and tassels are always flattering. Daydreaming of beach life right now.

  2. I LOVE SKINNYDIP ❤ These phone cases are literally so cool. I love them. I was absolutely going to treat myself to one that was in the sale and stopped myself the other day so I deserve a pat on the back x10000! They are just cool. No explanation needed.

  3. AND THIS PASSPORT HOLDER. Just look at it! Skinnydip is just great.

Anyway, Happy New Year you babes! Stay tuned 😉 ❤

Peace and Love and silly things.

Firstly… Happy new year everyone!

I am very sorry to have not blogged in a while, I’ve been very busy over the festive period, but I hope you all had wonderful times!

This is just a simple blog post to tell you all, that 2015 is our year! 🙂
I’m expecting great things from this year and I hope everyone else feels the same – I just have a good feeling about it!

My plans for 2015 are:
To finish University – I will have an actual degree!
To go travelling – time to explore the world a bit!
To look after myself more – eating better, exercising more etc. (OK, everyone says it, but I mean it!)
To learn how to do more things, become less lazy and more happy!

As you can see by my pictures, I’ve been investing a bit of time in to eating healthily… I even taught myself to make poach eggs today!

So lets smash 2015! 🙂

Peace, love and happiness for a new year

Make it a happy Monday…

Ohh it’s Monday… again.

As today is not many peoples’ favourite day and it is definitely not my favourite day, I thought I’d do a little post with a few things that are improving my day so far. If you are having a terrible day, maybe you should give one or two a go…

  • Listen to some reggae – literally, it transports me. I don’t know how, but it makes me feel so much happier. Close your eyes and pretend you are on a beach… DON’T look out the window, this will not help!
  • Go for a run/go to the gym – Get rid of anxiety, tension and stress and just run it all out… Even if you don’t want to, you will feel so much calmer afterwards.
  • Never underestimate the power of a CUP OF TEA. Take a minute, pause for thought, and put the kettle on… Take a break and relax. It solves everything.

If these don’t work… go to sleep ASAP, wake up and it’ll be Tuesday!

Don’t worry, be happy!

What-Worrying-Does

Firstly, sorry about my lack of blogging over the past six weeks… I have been off frolicking at festivals, which you may have gathered from previous posts and enjoying my final summer before my final year at University.

I have been finding that a lot of the time recently when people ask what I’m studying at University, they always go on to ask about what I plan to do afterwards. And for someone who has always struggled with the reality that one day I will have to choose an actual career path for myself, I find this very difficult to answer.

However worrying about the future will not help, so this blog post is aimed to give worriers (like myself) a bit of a boost and 3 reasons why we shouldn’t be worrying about the big old scary future…

It’s scientifically proven that worrying has negative effects on your health

Worrying is perfectly natural, however if a person worries too much, it can have negative effects on their lifestyle. People who worry too much will usually pick up negative habits such as over-eating, eating less, smoking etc. These habits will all have negative effects on your health and can be hard to kick!

Career worriers – On average, a person has 3/4 career changes in a lifetime

Worrying about a career is pointless. If you aren’t happy, change it. Don’t see jobs/qualifications as pointless, despite how little you may be enjoying them – everything is a learning curve and a stepping stone. You will be stepping closer to a job you enjoy each time you find one you don’t.

Life is a journey and you cannot control the future

Although you may wish you could, it is impossible for us to control what will happen next. Some people may seem like they have it easy and fall in to their dream job with minimal effort. This does not happen to everyone. You never know when you may get a lucky break or an amazing opportunity, so don’t worry if at the moment you feel as if you are bumbling along. If you get offered an opportunity, take it and be sure to enjoy whatever life throws at you!

Peace and love and no more worries

Somerley Tea Party – Happy Festival Review

Its-Okay-to-Be-a-Glow-Stickme

What a lovely, happy, pretty festival.

This weekend I visited the magical enchanting woodland party spot that was Somerley Tea Party – a boutique underground electronic music festival. STP is a new festival, on the outskirts of the New Forest, taking place in the heart of the grounds of Old Somerley.

The festival location was absolutely perfect. There were high walls surrounding the main grass area, or you could walk through the walls and off in to the enchanted woods, full of decoration, stalls and cocktail bars. With a great line up featuring artists like Eats Everything and Ben Pearce, it was a sunny portal transporting me right in to a summery world of fun and dancing.

And what a perfect place to wear my gorgeous summery Ragged Priest Sample Sale jacket, which arrived that very morning (as seen above – bargain!!)… I was definitely in my element.

Best things about Somerley Tea Party

  • It was sunny! – OK, the organisers didn’t control this… but it definitely kick started everyone’s summers!
  • No drinks were over £5 and water was completely free – Nothing worse than having to pay extortionate amounts at festivals for water when it’s hot and everyone is getting dehydrated
  • Obviously the music…. great line up, amazing summer vibes
  • The location – Couldn’t have asked for a better location for a one day festival… gorgeously decorated… spacious… (woods were very Boomtown-like)

– The festival could have done with a couple more food stalls, there were only a couple and I love my festival food(!)… and maybe a few more toilets, but they are my only reservations!

A glorious little festival… I would absolutely recommend going in 2015!

Who made your pants?

Image

A year ago yesterday, on the 25th of May 2013, my lovely and beautiful sister got married. So firstly, happy anniversary for yesterday Fran. 🙂

As a present for being a bridesmaid, she got me a year’s worth of pants from WHO MADE YOUR PANTS?

WHO MADE YOUR PANTS? is a lingerie brand based in Southampton that employs wonderful women who have had a bit of a hard time, to make wonderful pants like these…

Image

So ever since the very special day that my sister got married, I have received a beautifully wrapped pair of gorgeous handmade pants every single month. And now, I have so many pairs of these amazing pants, that every day can be a good pants day. And wearing special pants, really does make you feel that little bit more invincible!

Not only does this company make gorgeous pants, they are the friendliest people I’ve ever been in contact with and if you contact them with a question or a problem, they are more than happy to help and their happy responses will put a smile on your face!

So this post is to persuade all the girls out there to buy a pair (or a few!) of these special pants, because supporting this campaigning lingerie brand, you can create jobs for these inspirational women.

Peace and Love and Pants
