Sugary goodness

The other day I decided to go on a little spontaneous shopping trip and visited one of my favourite shops ever, LUSH. After choosing some shower gel and shaving cream for my Dad for his birthday (I’d run out of ideas!), I decided to get myself a little treat as well, because I’m naughty and can’t help it.

So I had a little browse around the bath bombs and massage bars, as you do, then suddenly had an urge to be good and not buy anything… which went really well… until I reached the till to pay for my Dad’s presents. This little pot of lip scrub caught my eye and I had a moment of weakness and popped it on the counter.

Now, I chose from three flavours: bubblegum, popcorn and mint julips. I went straight for the mint, because I thought the other ones sounded slightly strange and the girl at the till even advised towards it.

The product is, in essence, a little pot of flavoured sugar. Now, don’t get me wrong, to me, this isn’t a bad thing. I think more shops should stock small transportable pots of sugar that women can carry around in their handbags… the world would be a happier place. Just remember, if you buy this product don’t expect that it is more than flavoured sugar… BUT in terms of the idea and the results of the product, I actually love it. The most annoying thing when you are trying to apply lipstick is dry lips and just like skin, lips need prepping too. It really does naturally exfoliate your lips and remove any dead skin that will prevent your pout from looking perfect when applying lipstick or lipgloss. The mint flavour is great as well and if you accidentally get it in your mouth… it does not matter because it tastes amazing!

Overall, I’m loving the lip scrub… even if it is just a pot of sugar that keeps your lips soft… because that is totally OK. Why would you complain about a portable pot of sugar? Exactly.

Peace and love and sugary lips xxx
